iOS

Not available. An iPhone app needs a Mac to build it and an Apple developer account, and that has been put off on purpose. The web app on your home screen is the way to use Worthly on an iPhone today.

The quickest way

Put the web app on your home screen

Worthly is a progressive web app, so a browser can install it as it is. It works on Android and iPhone alike.

  • Android (Chrome): open the menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.
  • iPhone (Safari): tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Server address

One setting that points the app anywhere

An installed app has no web address of its own, so it has to be told where your Worthly lives. Both the Android and Windows apps have a Server address field, on the sign-in screen and in Settings. Paste an http or https address, save, and the app talks to that server.

It is stored on your device and can be changed any time without reinstalling anything. That is what lets the same installer work today and keep working when Worthly moves to its permanent address. Changing the server signs you out, since an account on one server means nothing to another. Leave the field empty to use whichever server served the app.

Windows

Windows will warn you. Here is why, and what to click.

The installer is not signed with a code-signing certificate yet, so Windows SmartScreen shows a blue "Windows protected your PC" screen. That is expected for an unsigned app from a new publisher. It is not a verdict that the file is harmful, and it is not a reason to skip checking the SHA-256 above against the file you downloaded.

  1. On the blue screen, click More info.
  2. Click Run anyway.
  3. Follow the installer as usual.

If you would rather not, the web app on a desktop browser does the same job with no warning.

Find your number.

Two ways in. Neither asks you to give up control.
